This presentation will provide an overview of the components of a balanced assessment system that are aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English language arts/literacy (ELA/Literacy). Assessment as an integral part of the instructional cycle and the roles of formative, interim, and summative assessments in that cycle are addressed.
