The Michigan Teaching for Learning Institute is designed to accelerate the achievement of all students through exploring and sharing educators’ beliefs and practices. Through examination of comprehensive sets of data and the current research on instructional practice, participants will analyze school and student performance to learn and apply strategies that will directly impact the teaching and learning process. The Institute will explicitly address the multiple risk factors effecting students in schools. School teams will define and plan the implementation of a system of instructional support that will align with their school improvement plan to accelerate the progress of every student.
