Literacy in Action
Literacy in Action is based on What Content Area Teachers Should Know About Adolescent Literacy from the The National Institute for Literacy of the US Department of Education.
Goals of the Program:
* Teachers will master and apply literacy protocols, activities and strategies in the content
area.
* Teachers will monitor student achievement by collecting and analyzing data to
determine the most effective ways to apply literacy protocols, activities, and strategies.
* Teachers will document the impact of increased reading and writing skills on student
achievement in their academic area.
