6488 Ralph Fletcher-Developing Joyful Writers Across the Genres, K-3
Join us for a day of inspiration with master educator and prolific author Ralph Fletcher, as he shares strategies to engage K-3rd grade students in joyful risk-taking writing across the genres. Particularly emphasized will be the critical role that choice plays in supporting engagement, stamina, and fluency, and how vital it is that the classroom provides a supportive and joyful writing community which can inspire even the most reluctant writers. Ralph also will share examples of his own writing process to demonstrate how authors “read like writers” to learn from other authors the many craft elements that young writers could use to enhance their own writing. The intended audience is: K-3rd grade teachers, literacy specialists/coaches and resource room teachers.
